DIP-switch selections are set by switching them
down

, respectively. The mapping is:
off = up
on = down
.a/ This switch is factory set to indicate the size of RAM installed on the
adapter. Verify that the position of this switch is
off
to reflect a RAM size of
1 MB.
.b/ Indicates whether a one-edge (62-pin) or a two-edge (62-pin and
36-pin) connector is used to hold your adapter.
on = two-edged / off = one-edged
.c/ Sets the bus width and should generally be set to 8-bit.
on = 8-bit / off = 16-bit

6.6.3 Configuring the Adapter
The following procedures apply to every PCI-based RS/6000 system that support
the 4-Port Multi-Protocol ISA Adapter.
The configuration for this adapter requires you to specify the
Interrupt Level
, the
Bus I/O Address
and the
Bus Memory Address
to be used with the adapter.
1. Check if there are any ISA adapters that are already installed in your computer
by using the following command:
lsdev -Cc adapter -s isa
